The name of this fern refers to the fact that there are two types of leaves: some broader dark green sterile leaves that lie flat and above that narrow longer stemmed fertile leaves with a nice burgundy red color in the stem. This fern is easy in maintenance, has a moderate growth rate and is evergreen in winter time. Ferns thrive when planted in well-draining substrate / normal fern mixture.
